Is industrial engineering easier than other engineering or business majors?

Suggestion on new laptop for upcoming university freshman majoring in industrial engineering ?

I am currently thinking of buying a Macbook. However, since I am entering university, I need some suggestions from people who went into industrial engineering major before. Don’t really want to end up spending other fortunes on a new laptop in my junior/senior year because my laptop cannot run some of the programs needed in the major. So for people who know this major, please help ^^.
Btw, I am thinking of minoring Mechanical engineering which is another factor.

What is the difference between Industrial Technology and General Engineering?

I’m thinking about majoring in Industrial Technology in a concentration of computer electronics and networking technology. But it seems to be closely related to engineering. What is the difference in terms of job outlooks, salaries, careers, and etc?
