I wanna have a PhD in Structural Engineering..I’m just wondering how many years does it take on average..and what would be it’s salary like?

In US what school is considered best for structural engineering? I would appreciate any pointers on researching this question.

As a Junior in High School I’ve been doing a lot of thinking concerning my major in college. I know that I wouldn’t hate my job engineering buildings and structures. It seems to be a creative outlet that takes the typical math/science background and specialty for the latest and greatest careers. But I’m still confused on the difference between a Structural Engineer and an architect? Is there a fine line between the two? And is there a large difference in the education requirements? Please give me any information regarding the pros/cons and difference between the two occupation titles.

How difficult is it to find employment in Mexico and what field is best remunerated? I’m an American citizen, hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil-Structural Engineering from U of I, have ten years of experience, speak Spanish fluently, have traveled abroad extensively and now seeks to find employment in Mexico.

I am currently a student of Civil Engineering and I am interested in structures. I have a great GPA and I want a position at one of the top structural engineering firms.

I have recently graduated from college with a structural engineering degree and I would love to work in almost an country in Europe. I have heard that It is hard for an American to find a job, however. I really just don’t know where to start. Searching online hardly ever helps…anyone have any good resources on where to find a job like this?
