I am a junior in Biomedical Engineering and my focus is Bioinstrumentation. I want to get an internship this upcoming summer. So can you please tell me what kind of opportunity I can have in this field?

Based on the current job market and stuff like that, do you think that it would be a good idea to get a bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering?

I want to pursue business but I want to take a different approach to a business field and was wondering if it was a smart choice. I want to major in biomedical engineering and then transfer to business (i heard that firms are looking for people with unique backgrounds….is this true??)

Hopefully, I could work in a hedge fund or a pharmaceutical firm. Is this a wise choice? Will firms hire me? I would go major in BioMed Engineering at NYU, integrate finance courses, and then find a job in the business field( through NYU Stern.)

I am doing a project in my engineering class in which we have to research a type of engineer. I chose biomedical engineering but I can’t find out what major companies hire them…

I am about to graduate from a small college with a math degree. I intended to get a second degree in biomedical engineering at another school but financial aid for second degree transfer students is proving to be impossible to find. How likely is it that I will be accepted into an engineering masters program with no engineering backround?

I’m a sophomore biomedical engineer, and I’m in quite a pickle.
For my technical writing class I need a topic; one that I may possibly publish.

Keep in mind that…
The paper will need to be at least five pages long (double columns), in IEEE standards (Though I’m sure this is irrelevant for you), and will need to have research information easily available for it.

I really want to go into the field and was wondering if it offered the program. If not, what other UC school do offer biomedical engineering?

Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Biomedical Imaging, Biosensors and Bioinstrumentation and Tissue Engineering.

I can’t exactly find out what they do. I searched on www.bls.gov, but I didn’t quite get enough of it. Can anyone tell me in what exactly they do? Also, do they help cure diseases by finding cures or it that another major?
