Starts out with a chemical engineer working for a smoking company. He decides to quit for moral reasons. This puts his family in danger, and his wife leaves him with the kids. He eventually becomes a high school teacher and wins a lot of awards.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Is there anyone out there that has done so (an EE bachelors degree and works in automotives) if so what do you do and how did you get into it?
Or should I just major in Mechanical Engineering if so what do mechanical engineers do in the automobile industry?

im a senior in high school and am about to graduate. im hopefully going to be going to trine university where they specialize in engineering. i want to major in mechanical engineering, and then minor in electrical engineering. I would like to know what the possible benefits are of having an electrical engineering degree as well as mechanical.

Yes, is industrial engineering technology BS a worthwhile degree to have? What does the job market, and earning potential look like for someone with this degree? Also, upon completion of the BS can you go on to pursue a MS in regular industrial engineering, or would it be preferred to obtain a MBA?

I’m going to begin studying chemical engineering this fall and I’m just curious about what type of work this will lead to. Will I be working at a plant? At home? What kind of hours and pay? I know the answers to these questions will vary widely based on my own situation, but what has your experience been and what can I expect?
