I’m going to graduate from high school this year and got accepted to IUPUI. I just don’t know what kind of market there will be for this job in two years. Where do they generally work?

I am on the Pre-med track, but undeclared in major.I am thinking about pick either one before my Sophomore year in college.
I want to work on skin care. So if I become a doctor, I want to be a dermatologist; if I become a chemical engineer, I want to research on skin care products. They are kinda the same to me.

Can a graduate in electrical engineering, with a minor n computer science, work as a software engineer in a mainly software firm, and be sponsored by the company for an H1 visa – Basically what I’m asking is ..will the visa approved under normal circumstances? I remember that there is some clause stating that one should work in his/her Major Field of Study, and hence the confusion…
thank you for any help clarifying that…

Course wise, what is the difference?
When it comes to a job who will be preferred for the same job?
