I'd like to know the difference between a computer software engineer and a programmer. Also, which is a better career *in the field of software engineering* for businesses and companies – application software or systems software?
If they are the same thing..should I pick software engineer? I'm doing my college application and I'm wondering which to choose.
I want the career of whichever creates/programs .

The way I see it, one programs apps and software, and the other just makes them better and whatnot.

hey I am 13 years old and I am really interested in structural engineering… I draw alot of buildings and stuff and I'm especially interested about how buildings are supported… I want to get abit more serious about it… Like i want to start sketching up real buildings (ones that might be able to actually be built) but I don't know any mathematic formulas or what ever about how much wight steel can hold at what angle and how much steel, concrete, brick, etc. would be needed or not needed to hold up a building… any tips? also how do you get into a job in structural engineering (i want to make atleast 100,000 dollars a year when I'm older because it would rock to have a job where i have some fun and also get paid lots.

I am a sphomore in Villanova University majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in business;currently my plan is to get a masters and MBA right after I graduate. I am pretty much at the top of my classes and I wanted to know what should I do in order to get a big salary?? Also how can I prepare myself so that I can prove myself in the working field?? Also should I make any modifications in my plans???

Public Relations Specialist or Software Engineer. Which field is it harder to be successful in. Please factor in the current economic crisis going on. I know there is like a 36% raise in job openings for jobs in computers. But is it as likely to get a job as a PR. All and all which career has the highest salary?
